Bay Area Sites and Treats!

With many of our friends and family flying in next week, they’ve been asking what there is to do while they’re here. I thought I would just compile a generic list for everyone. Whether you’re a local, have visited here many times, or are a first-time Bay Area visitor, I’m sure everyone will be able to find something on this list to try out. Enjoy!

San Francisco Things To Do/See:
Golden Gate Bridge – best pictures from Crissy Fields and Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, Baker Beach (nude beach – certain sections)
Pier 39 – Fisherman’s Wharf
Palace of Fine Arts – for pictures
Lombard Street – crooked street
Ride Cable Car on Powell Street – passes by Union Square, ends up near Fisherman’s Wharf/Ghirardelli Square
Ghirardelli Square – restaurants and store, eat ice cream
Alamo Square – Painted Ladies, Full House opening credits
Union Square – Macy’s, Tiffany & Co, NiketownSF, etc
AT&T Park – baseball
Twin Peaks – view of the city, check forecast: make sure NO fog
Kite Hill Park – view of the SF Skyline
Haight and Ashbury – shopping with hippies, hipster hangout
Delores Park – movies, concerts (check schedule online)
Alcatraz – need to purchase tickets in advance!
Golden Gate Park – Japanese Tea Garden, Academy of Sciences, Conservatory of Flowers, Botanical Gardens
Chinatown – Golden Gate Fortune Cookies Company, Golden Gate Bakery – egg tarts, cheap dim sum
North Beach/Little Italy – Italian neighborhood, restaurants
Japantown Bay Bridge on West Side has light show
